BookPana is provided by Niraa Multi Service, Tilottama-04, Rupandehi, Nepal (“we”). This page explains what we collect through bookpana.com and the BookPana app, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, business name and the people you add to your account.
- Your books: everything you enter in BookPana, such as invoices, items, payments and accounts. This includes details of your customers, suppliers and staff.
- Billing records: your plan, payment dates, amounts and references. You pay by bank transfer or QR, so we do not collect card numbers.
- Technical records: sign-in times, IP address, browser details and error logs. We use these to keep accounts safe and to find faults.
- Messages: what you send us by email or WhatsApp.
This website
This website has no analytics, tracking or advertising. It has no forms; you reach us by email or WhatsApp. The BookPana app uses cookies and your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
How we use it
We use this information to run BookPana, back up your books, give support, send renewal, update and security messages, keep our billing records and meet legal duties.
We do not sell your data, show advertising, or contact your customers or suppliers.
Your customers’ and staff details
You decide what goes into your books, so please enter people’s details only where you have a proper reason to keep them. We handle those details only to provide BookPana to you.
Where your data is kept
Your books are stored on a rented server in Chennai, India, so they are kept outside Nepal. Each company has a database of its own, and each one is backed up every day. An encrypted copy of those backups is kept in Cloudflare’s storage, away from the server, so it may also be held outside Nepal.
Who else handles data for us
- Our server provider hosts the server in India.
- Cloudflare runs our domain, delivers this website and protects it, so it sees basic request details such as IP addresses. It also stores our encrypted backups, which it cannot read.
- Brevo sends our emails, such as sign-in codes and password resets.
- Google hosts the mailbox that receives your emails to us.
- WhatsApp carries your messages if you contact us there.
They receive only what they need for that job. We share data with anyone else only if you ask us to or the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and books while your subscription is active. After it ends, we keep your books for the period set out in our Terms. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal details we hold, correct them, give you a copy of your books or delete them. Write to hello@bookpana.com. We normally reply within 30 days.
Security
BookPana uses encrypted connections and a separate database for each company. Our staff tools are restricted and need two-step sign-in. Our staff open a company’s books only when needed for support, to fix a fault or to restore a backup.
No system is perfectly safe. If a security problem affects your data, we will tell the account owner promptly.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top. We will tell account owners about important changes.
